JOB OVERVIEW

Queens Head of Stowmarket is a new relaxing eatery whilst keeping it’s tradition as the town hub for social drinks and meeting friends. A welcoming place for all the family, our food mixes street fare with a sharing platter concept designed to encourage groups to meet, chat, relax and dine in a friendly atmosphere within the centre of town.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will have the opportunity to come up with new promotional ideas and will be able to help shape the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager in planning menus and special events.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and feedback.
