ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER - BARS

Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Wychwood Park is a stylish and modern conference venue and hotel offering an extensive range of light and airy accommodation with 113 guest bedrooms, 25 meeting rooms, 2 Function suites, a 130 cover Hotel restaurant, Hotel Bar with views over the golf course and Cheshire Countryside, Golf clubhouse, and free Wi-fi throughout. For a scenic golfing challenge, golfers will enjoy the PGA European-tour standard 18-hole golf course.
We are looking for a customer and sales focused individual to take responsibility for the day to day management of our busy bars department.
You will be responsible for ensuring the department delivers a high quality of service to the customer, maximising on all sales opportunities and controlling costs and payroll in line with budget. Be visible at appropriate times and ensure a management/supervisory presence to support the team and ensure guest satisfaction, display a positive attitude and promote teamwork. Have a competent knowledge of different types of beer, wine and spirits and their delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Recruiting, training, and motivating your staff to become a professional, engaged and responsible team.
  • Ensuring the bars team meet, greet, and serve guests in a polite, friendly, speedy, and professional manner.
  • Carry out regular team meetings, one to one job chats and performance reviews.
  • Ensure efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders.
  • Placing weekly orders to meet the needs of the business, handling deliveries and maintaining the security of all stock.
  • Completing beer line cleans as per company policy.
  • Involvement of monthly beverage stocktakes including checklists carried out prior to audit to ensure all has been captured
  • Control of beverage lines including updating prices inline with the supplier costs
  • Ensure the bar areas are clean and well presented at all times.
  • Develop and evolve beverage offering to meet demand and maximise revenue.
  • Liaising with all departments in the hotel and working as part of a wider team to meet the needs of the business and ensure guest satisfaction.Keeping up to date with licensing legislation and health and safety regulations ensuring the department is fully compliant.
  • Assist in the set up and preparation and provide service duties for functions and events throughout the business as required.
  • Undertake Duty Management shifts within the hotel as required.
    The nature of this role and demands of the business will require that the successful applicant should expect to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
    The successful applicant should have at least 1 years supervisory experience in a quality outlet, preferably a hotel, excellent opportunity for a first management role..
