Description
Responsibilities

We are seeking a driven and organised bid professional to join our Bids & Pursuits Team as an Assistant Bids & Pursuits Project Manager.
Working closely with the UK bids & pursuit team and our offshore team in Delhi, you will focus on project managing the bid process for large opportunities and frameworks, developing proposals, coordinating with stakeholders, managing risks, and continuously improving the bid management process and project management framework. The role also involves building relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating with business development teams, and reporting on bid performance.

You will leverage the strategic growth team and the wider clients and markets capabilities to support opportunities. By ensuring the bid project management framework supports our pursuit methodology and working with other members of the team as appropriate, you will ensure our proposals are of the highest standard.

  • Bid Management: Lead and own the bid process from initial opportunity identification through to submission, by creating project plans and ensuring all deadlines are met and the bid is compliant with client requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Work with delivery teams to develop and write compelling proposals.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business services team and fee earners.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bid process, ensuring all potential issues are addressed proactively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and continuously improve the bid management process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including creating and maintaining a bid project management framework. And ensure these learnings are shared with the wider team.
  • Qualification: Ensure we are supporting the correct opportunities by assessing winnability not just desirability.
  • Relationship building: Build relationships with key stakeholders, understand their requirements and position yourself as an expert in bid production and project management.
  • Reporting: Support the head of Strategic Growth by analysing and reporting on bid performance and lessons learnt.
  • Line Management: Manage, coach and develop members of the strategic growth team where appropriate.
