ASSISTANT BOOKKEEPER

We are a small company in the home medical equipment sales and service industry, in New Westminster near Skytrain. Our products and services are sold on prescription to various government agencies and other entities. We have provided equipment and service to children and adults with significant physical disabilities for over 30 years.
We now require an energetic and active Assistant Bookkeeper to work with our Senior Bookkeeper. Knowledge, training and experience of bookkeeping is required, and assistance with the implementation of a new database in future would be helpful.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • excellent written and spoken English
  • post-secondary training in accounting / bookkeeping
  • 2 years bookkeeping experience
  • strong numeracy and keyboard skills for accurate and detailed data entry
  • MS Word and Excel proficiency
  • knowledge of accounting programs and the full-cycle process
  • database familiarity
  • ability to learn about the healthcare equipment industry
  • energetic and faithful team member
  • supervisory experience may be helpful
  • compassion for the needs of people with disabilities
  • willingness to help wherever needed in a small operation
  • good personal health and wellness, and consistent attendance required
