Description
Role: Support the Branch Manager in all operations of the branch, underwrite consumer loans, and ensure the department meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth goals. Actively participate in the career development of branch staff. Act with manager authority in the absence of the Branch Manager. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: * Competent in all aspects of the FSR and Loan Officer positions. This will include: underwriting, soliciting, member service, sales, cash controls, and vault and audit procedures. * Develop a working knowledge of CUA departments; Indirect Lending, Collections, Real Estate, Payment Solutions, and Deposit Operations. * Assist in monitoring all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures, includes paying and receiving activities and service delivery activities. * Cover Branch Managers who are absent for extended periods, such as illness or vacation. Coverage will be assigned by VP of Branch Operations or Regional Vice President. * Assist in the directing, developing, motivating, hiring and coaching of employees through one-on-one conversations at least monthly; administering performance reviews and recommending appropriate personnel actions. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job. Knowledge and Skills: * Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. * Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. * Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.  * Other Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong sales skills and the ability to coach and motivate sales staff. Good judgment and problem solving skills. Good oral and written communication skills. General PC skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to handle and monitor multiple tasks * Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
