REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to build long term relationships with customers
  • Prior experience in a role with high volume regular loyal customer contact
  • Successful and proven leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and influence other team members in day-to-day operations
  • Ability to introduce and implement policies and procedures, to ensure high customer service standards are met.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Branch Manager, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated person to provide operations leadership to the team in our Lilydale branch - VIC. You will be passionate about building a strong, customer-focused team that keeps raising the standards in delivering excellent customer service. This means leading from the front, showing initiative, and being actively involved in all aspects of Branch operations.
This is not a role for people that like managing from a computer in an office.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Managing day to day operations of the Branch, so the Branch Manager can focus on active business growth
  • Coaching the team to provide customers with exceptional service that grows profitable relationships. Building strong team morale so that everyone works together with a proactive customer mindset
  • Overseeing Branch operations procedures to ensure the right disciplines and structures are in place to drive consistency, cost effectiveness and practical outcomes. Working with the team to implement continuous improvements and efficiencies. Examples: counter service, quoting and customer orders, inventory management, credit management, branch presentation, delivery service, problem solving, product knowledge
  • Running and analysing daily reports and working with the team to action and follow-up tasks
  • Supporting the Branch Manager with staff training and development
  • Ensuring company compliance standards are followed.
