Summary:  Perform duties of the Branch Manager in their absence.  This position requires full knowledge of all phases of customer service, administrative duties, and operational support.  Assist in directing branch staff to achieve goals set forth by the Company and the Branch Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Responsible for opening and closing the branch as per schedule. Direct the branch staff in the absence of the Branch Manager. Focus on completing any tasks assigned by the Branch Manager in a timely and professional manner. Train and groom subordinate managers for future individual growth and branch efficiency. Counsels and instructs subordinates and monitors their performance. Mediates any customer or employee issues that may arise. Capitalizes on opportunities to enhance and broaden business relations within the area with builders and contractors. Responsible for branch and store sales to budget. Communicate daily with Branch Manager on any events or concerns that warrant. Responsible for branch safety and correcting any hazards, concerns or issues that may arise. Interview and hire budgeted or replacement positions. Responsible for controlling branch expenses to budget. In conjunction with the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for branch profit to budget. Complete weekly work schedule. Responsible for staffing in the Branch Managers absence. Complete associate’s performance evaluation and insures the adherence to annual or 90 day review dates. Assures that all company policies and procedures are being followed. As with all other jobs, other duties may be assigned.  Management reserves the right to reassign an individual in this position to another position in the interest of efficient personnel utilization.
Responsibilities
