Brown & Brown is seeking an Assistant Broker to join our growing team in Scottsdale, AZ! The Assistant Broker’s primary function is to support the clerical, administrative process and management of the Broker’s book of business for both renewals and new business. How You Will Contribute: Completes and files documentation required for risk acceptance determination. Collaborates with Broker with regards to unusual coverages. Determines amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks. Confirms appropriate filings in accordance with applicable regulations. Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements. Verify complete and proper coding. Compliance with Quality Control guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Licenses and Certifications: Working towards or holds valid P&C license. Skills & Experience to be Successful: Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline. Minimum education required High School Diploma or GED. 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar position Proficient with MS Office Suite Exceptional telephone demeanor Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
