Description

Devon Properties is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Building Manager to support the daily operations of Summitview Heights and Rockwood Landing in Vernon, BC. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a hands-on approach to join a respected and team-oriented property management company.
Reporting to the Building Manager, you will help ensure both properties run smoothly through a combination of administrative support, tenant relations, and general maintenance duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in residential property management, hospitality, or a related field is an asset
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks (e.g., light plumbing, painting, general repairs)
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Reliable and professional, with strong attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check
  • Availability to work 32 hours per week, including Saturdays and be on call 3 days per week for emergencies
    Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
    Pay: $23.07 per hour
    Expected hours: 32 per week

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with daily operations, including coordinating work orders, posting notices, and handling move-ins/move-outs
  • Perform administrative duties such as rent collection, lease paperwork, and reporting
  • Support the Building Manager with tenant relations and routine communication
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of common areas and exterior grounds
  • Conduct minor maintenance and repairs, and report larger issues as needed
  • Provide on-call emergency support during designated days
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to coordinate maintenance and service appointments
  • Ensure compliance with Devon’s building policies and property standards
