    Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career in finance? Ipswich Borough Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Business Support Accountant.
    As an Assistant Business Support Accountant, you will play a key role in providing expert support and analysis for the council’s services. This role primarily supports the Housing Revenue Account (HRA), Shared Revenues Partnership and repairs and maintenance programme. You assist a Business Support Accountant to help ensure the council meets its financial obligations, key objectives and critical deadlines.
    We will be looking to appoint to either level depending on skills and experience.
    If appointed to level 1 the council requires that you obtain the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). Full study support towards this qualification will be provided within a given time.
    If appointed to the level 2 of the career grade we expect you to hold the AAT, and support Business Support Accountants with the council’s monthly budget monitoring process. As well as being a trusted advisor by providing high quality budgetary advice to the services you will support to create a real and active working relationships with both operational and management.
