Elora Road Meats has been serving the farming community and retail customers since 1976. As a full service butcher we process animals from farm to table, all in one facility.
Elora Road Meats is looking to hire an Assistant Butcher part time with the possibility of full time hours in the fall. Training will be provided for the right individual. We are looking for someone who is hard working and reliable.

As an Assistant Butcher you will need to:

• Make and package ground beef, sausage and hamburger patties, and slice bacon
• Pull customer orders from the freezer and help to load vehicles
• Process retail sales, answer customer questions, as well as answering phones
• Perform general cleaning tasks as per shop standards.

The ideal candidate must:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Be able to tolerate cold temperatures
• Have the ability to lift 40+ lbs
• Have a friendly demeanor
• Have an attention to detail

Hours will vary based on demand. This may include longer days and weekends on occasion. The fall is typically busier and more hours would be needed.
Starting wage based on experience.
