Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Assistant Buyer, you’ll be at the heart of our procurement operations, supporting the delivery of critical defence and engineering projects. Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Executing the requisition to order process within agreed service levels, up to a value of £2m
  • Supporting Buyers to protect Babcock’s commercial position through agreed terms and conditions
  • Managing order books and expediting processes to ensure timely delivery across the supply chain
  • Assisting with supplier onboarding and qualification to ensure compliance and readiness
  • Collaborating with finance teams to ensure on-time payment to suppliers.

This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
