REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field;
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in a similar position within retail industry an asset;
- Sharp analytical and negotiation skills;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel with Pivot tables, formulas and V-lookup functions;
- Bilingual (English & French);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong multitasker, able to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Proactive problem-solver;
- Team player willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Assistant Buyer Gifts & Packaged Tea to join our team!
The Buying Assistant provides administrative, organizational, and analytical support to our Gift and Prepack Merchandising team and supports the Merchants throughout the full product development and buying cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with purchase order creation for all gift and packaged tea products according to current price list and agreements and ensuring proper sign-off
- Coordinate with Planning, Sourcing and Production teams for order quantities, revisions and production schedule ensuring proper quantities are available for all projects and that launch reports are up to date.
- Coordinate with co-packers to ensure all components are delivered on time and finished product meets launch dates
- SKU creation of all related products in AX and ensure proper launch execution
- Support the front-end of the product creation cycle through product ideation support, assisting with brief creation and coordination of product development;
- Follow up with vendors on purchase orders and samples;
- Assist the Merchant in assortment building;
- Assist the Merchant with in-season management;
- Develop expertise in the category by performing sales analysis;
- Maintain the seasonal Visual Boards, Product Launch Sheet, Special Groups, etc.;
- Point of contact for internal communication documents such Action Sheets, PKs, promo requests, price changes, etc.; in regards to new launches, promotions and consolidations
- Act as liaison with other departments, including Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, IT and Store Operations, to achieve joint business goals;
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Coordinate with IT & Finance to ensure accurate inventory
- Manage component lists for all sachets and tea co-packed items and coordinate orders
