The key responsibilities for our new Assistant Buyer will be: Managing the critical path through the key stages of product development, to achieve on time availability and delivery Working hand-in-hand with the technical team, planning, implementing and monitoring all product fittings and lab dips in line with our approval process. As well as, ensuring samples are commercially acceptable and suppliers are kept updated Understanding and analyzing the product market place and Hunkemöller’s position, by using market data and conducting regular market and competitor analysis; keeping your knowledge of the high street and internet up to date. Supporting and guiding for the Administrative Buying Assistant to ensure all the products and their USP’s are referenced correctly in the system Working with Marketing, you’ll help develop the correct product packaging and prepare photoshoots to ensure collections sit with our brand guidelines Deputising for the Junior Buyer/Buyer in their absence and maintaining overall knowledge of the department performance Contributing to the development of the department to encourage and enhance learning, collaboration and team spirit Background & Experience: Bachelor degree in fashion or related, incl. relevant internships and work experience Minimum of 2 years experience in private label buying in a retail/commercial environment Good organization skills, strong attention to detail, team player and a high-level of numeracy Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent knowledge of the English language; written and verbal Together Tomorrow – Join a Retailer that's on the move to be better for our planet, better for people, better together! Responsibilities
