Description Assistant Buyer The Role We’re looking for an Assistant Buyer who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both product and data. This role supports the Buyer in managing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and analyzing product performance to ensure the business is operating efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, enjoys working with numbers, and can effectively manage the operational side of the buying process. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day buying operations. Core Responsibilities Purchase Order Management Manage and track purchase orders, verifying accuracy of details including pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines Identify and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders in collaboration with vendors and internal teams Maintain organized and up-to-date PO records and tracking systems Communicate with vendors to confirm order details, updates, and delivery schedules Inventory Management & Replenishment Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through regular tracking and analysis Assist in replenishment planning based on sales trends and stock levels Ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and stock shortages Track incoming shipments and coordinate with warehouse teams on receipt timelines Product Performance & Reporting Analyze product performance data and prepare detailed reports on sales trends and key metrics Support the Buyer with insights to drive purchasing and merchandising decisions Track inventory performance including sell-through, stock levels, and product movement Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reporting on product and business performance Warehouse & Operations Support Provide support in resolving warehouse and inventory issues to ensure operational efficiency Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receiving, inventory updates, and stock handling Assist in troubleshooting discrepancies related to shipments, inventory counts, or damaged goods Vendor & Representative Coordination Coordinate with sales representatives and vendors to address and resolve product or order-related concerns Maintain strong communication with vendors regarding order status, issues, and timelines Support vendor relationships by ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution Role Details Part-time (2-3 days per week) Reports directly to the Buyer Success in This Role Looks Like Purchase orders are accurate and up to date Inventory and shipments are tracked correctly Budgets and OTB are maintained and accurate Reports are completed on time Issues are flagged early and clearly Requirements What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail — you catch mistakes others miss Comfortable working in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) Organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces Numbers-oriented mindset (budget tracking, reporting, accuracy)
