Description The Assistant Convenience Store Manager is responsible for managing a high-volume convenience store and gas station when the convenience store manager is absent. This position takes over the managerial duties of the store manager. Also responsible for coordinating the display of products and attend to incoming deliveries as directed by the manager. Assists with the daily operations of the Convenience Store Assist with the effective scheduling and supervision of employees. Must have the ability to accurately calculate money. Assist with recruiting and training positive individuals to become team members, ensuring excellent customer service. Able to motivate, encourage, and challenge store team members. Quickly and efficiently resolve customer complaints in a professional manner. Enforces established daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept. Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner. Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times. Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent mathematical and organizational skills. Previous retail or convenience store experience, preferred. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must possess knowledge of register operations including cash, checks, credit cards, and register receipts.
