    Job Summary:
    We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Cafe Manager to join our outstanding team!

    As the Assistant Cafe Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in the overall success and operational excellence of the Cafe. This means ensuring strict adherence to our partner’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and Bon Appetit’s unwavering standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. Working closely alongside the Cafe Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the cafe. This includes actively participating in the selection, development, and performance management of our valued employees. You’ll be instrumental in motivating and directing every team member to achieve the operational objectives, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and fostering a strong, collaborative relationship with our client.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 years of supervisor experience in a like volume and quality food service establishment
  • Restaurant, cafe, hotel or events experience is a plus
  • Ability to integrate diverse perspectives and experiences
  • Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
  • Proficient in computer and technical skills, working knowledge of Google Suite tools, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Managing in a Union Environment is a plus
  • ServSafe Certification
Responsibilities
  • Manage workplace and food safety, including allergen management
  • Set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and that truly engages our guests
  • Upskill, train and develop your team
  • Monitor and manage all financial & budget responsibilities whilst making sure our standards are always the best
  • Meets all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office and all other timelines given by Client and management
  • Create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety & ensure that all operations meet the highest standards
  • Attends monthly safety meetings and participates in safety inspections.
  • Operate Web based ordering systems, process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles
