PURPOSE Under the direction of the Cage Manager the Assistant Cage Supervisor assists with the supervision of the Cage department while ensuring the protection of company assets. The position provides guidance to the Cage team and leads the team to complete all duties and tasks assigned while delivering an exceptional entertainment experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Assists the Cage Shift Supervisor with supervision of the Cage staff and often performs the duties of a Cage Cashier. Assume acting Cage Shift Supervisor role and duties in the absence of the Cage Shift Supervisor. Supervise the Cage and Vault areas including training, task direction, conducting team member evaluations and performance management meetings. Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing levels according to business need. Ensure that cashiers follow all written policies and procedures. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with the maintenance of up-to-date Cage and Vault written policies and procedures. Complete daily reports and ensure they are forwarded to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. Oversee vault operations, including uninterrupted services of ATM and Ticket Redemption Machines, and ensure the appropriate amounts of funds are on property to conduct business. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD). Meet or exceed cage standards for balancing previous three months. One (1) year Snoqualmie Casino Cage and six months Snoqualmie Casino Main Bank/Vault experience with proficiency as defined by balancing three shifts in a row after training. Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position. Skills and Abilities: Proven computer skills, preferably with MS Excel and MS Word. Proven communication skills. Proven reliability. PREFERRED Education and Experience: One (1) year supervisory experience, in casino cage operations Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
