Description:
For over 70 years our residential camp has provided a safe and
unique experience for children, youth and adults with
developmental disabilities. Our camp is located near Fergus, on
Belwood Lake in southwestern Ontario.
Reporting to the Camp director the assistant director is
responsible for executing positive strategies to meet the summer
recreational needs of our campers. The position will run for 15
weeks from May 19th. A $500 bonus will be given at the end of
the completed contract. Salary range $900 to $1000 per week
based upon previous experience. This is a residential position and
requires overnight stays, with one evening off per camp week. A

Responsibilities
1. Direct supervision of the lifeguard and pool area
2. Direct supervision of our student maintenance team
insuring that all maintenance tasks are completed
thoroughly and the camp presents itself as an organized
and safe environment.
3. Supervision of all aspects of the camp in the evenings when
the director is not present.
4. Demonstrate respect consideration and acceptance of the
opinions of others while expressing your own expertise.
5. Consistently collaborate with team members, sharing ideas
and differences openly
6. Take necessary actions to avoid or solve problems and
create opportunities for positive change.
The Ideal Assistant Director Will
- Have pool maintenance experience
- First Aid & CPR
- Maintenance Experience
- Management experience
- Non Violent Crisis intervention
- Camp experience leadership
- Water System Knowledge an asset
