ASSISTANT CAMP DIRECTOR CAMP LEADERSHIP U 2026 POSITION DESCRIPTION This position will assist with the overall management, planning and implementation of camp at the Director the Leadership Development Coordinator, including the delivery of camp programs and continuous development of campers and staff. ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES * Assist in camp logistics * Assistance with American Camp Association Accreditation for the summer 2026 season. * Experience working with children in an educational and leadership role. * Facilitate behavior management among campers and staff * Help maintain documentation of camp operations for accreditation purposes * Manage and supervise the development and execution of camp programs * Ensure the safe operation and instruction of all camp activities * Lead daily staff meetings in conjunction with the Camp Director * Assist with management of site logistics such as inventory and supplies and schedules. * Assist in implementation of crisis and risk management procedures * Provide camp coverage * Be a positive role model for campers and staff, and provide an inclusive, professional and upbeat environment.  * CPR certification and first aid training  * Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be a part of a high-level team.  * Other duties as assigned   REQUIREMENTS * Be 21 years of age at the start of employment * Two or more years of experience in camp operations * Experience in mentoring and advising youth * Experience in curriculum delivery, including presentation and facilitation skills *  Capable of carrying at least 35 lbs and carrying it a distance of 50 feet or more * CPR certified (training offered by C5 Texas)
