ABOUT YOU AND YOUR SKILLS

We are looking for a candidate with a strong commercial acumen, experience working within an FMCG and/or retail environment and strong knowledge of the merchandising function and processes.

You’ll also need:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead to support the category’s unique needs
  • Prior experience with promotional and trade planning
  • Industry knowledge within Liquor is highly desirable
  • Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to work closely and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience applying this to interpret industry dynamics and competitive retail landscape
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through proactively sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations
  • Experience working within cross functional teams to manage and execute projects

Responsibilities

On a day to day bases you’ll be responsible for trade and promotional planning, leveraging commercial analysis to drive these areas.

You’ll also:

  • Develop strong supplier relationships to effectively partner and execute goals
  • Gain data driven insights to shape the promotional and trade plans in the category
  • Own the promotional program for a set category.
  • Assist in the execution of the category’s pricing, promotion, range selection and layout development
  • Assist in management of key processes for assigned category including marketing brief and sign off on content and accuracy
