Assistant Category Manager (fixed term): We are hiring for an Assistant Category Manager for Grocery to join us for a 12-month fixed term as a leave replacement. The Assistant Category Manager for Grocery is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Grocery channel strategy for Blackmores in Woolworths and Coles. Key deliverables include channel unit/sales/share growth, winning range reviews, promotional effectiveness & objective category partnerships. This role is a 12-month fixed term role and reports to the Head of Category Development for Grocery. This role will be working across our NSW work sites – Warriewood and Surry Hills over 3 days per week in office and 2 days from home. Responsibilities include: Deliver Category Support: Ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks that enable strategic initiatives. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Category Managers, Sales, and Marketing to maintain alignment and clarity across initiatives. Generate Actionable Insights: Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that influence decision-making. Manage Promotional Analysis: Track and evaluate promotional activity, including ROI, and support post-event reviews. Support Space Planning: Assist in building and optimising planograms and shelf layouts to maximise product visibility. Forecast Innovation Volumes: Model and validate volume projections for new product launches and scenario planning. Maintain Reporting Tools: Develop and update dashboards, trackers, and presentations for internal and retailer meetings What we offer? Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline Minimum 2 years in category management, customer-facing or shopper marketing type roles within FMCG, retail, or consumer healthcare and pharmacy sectors. Experience working within the grocery retail or FMCG retail environments are preferred Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with customers and key internal stakeholders. Demonstrated success working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Familiarity with space planning software & planogram tools will be an added advantage. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support commercial decision-making. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and influence stakeholders.
