Description

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its existing team. Key Responsibilities Assist the Senior Category Manager to ensure a relevant and trendy assortment of the Category. Ensure that listing and delisting of products is in line with the commercial strategy. Assist in the comprehension of the market trends of the category and participate in sourcing new products. Monitor competitor’s products ranging and pricing. Ensure that our directly imported products give us an additional traffic of customers through trendy product and price competitiveness. Liaise and collaborate with the Supply Chain department to manage inventory levels by ensuring that products are ordered in time to meet customer demand or seasonality requirements. Prepare monthly forecast purchases to achieve budgeted sales and margin. Liaise with Supply Chain to manage order and stock. Prepare weekly sales and stock figures for all outlets. To monitor with each outlet the expiry date weekly and take appropriate measure. Analyzing data to identify trends that may indicate a need for change within a company’s supply chain. Ensure that the planogram for the imported products is optimized and implemented in all outlets. Other Requisites Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing Management or any other relevant qualifications. Exposure in retail trades, Food act and FMCG products will be an advantage. 3 years of experience in a similar role. Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Positive and proactive team player with high communication, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
