JOB SUMMARY:

The Catering Assistant Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end execution of catering services, ensuring seamless operations, high service standards, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of catering events, supervising staff, maintaining cost efficiency, and improving service delivery across multiple sites or functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a Catering Company.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and logistics planning.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of all catering operations (on-site and off-site).
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Supervise the operation team including service staff, logistics personnel, and support crew.
  • Make the daily schedule for the operation team.
  • Ability to prepare operational plans for the new projects
  • Coordinate with logistics including transportation, event setup, staffing, and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for catering operations.
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and supply chain coordination to prevent shortages or waste.
  • Collaborate with sales and client servicing teams to ensure smooth communication and event execution.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all venues.
  • Analyze event profitability, prepare reports, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance to build a high-performing operations team.
  • Act as the point of contact during major events to troubleshoot issues in real-time.
