We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join our Gledswood Hills leadership team About the Role As an Assistant Centre Manager at Young Academics, you will assist with daily operations and leadership of the centre, working closely with the Centre Manager to deliver outstanding outcomes. Your leadership will guide the team, ensure compliance, support high-quality programs, and build strong relationships with families and the wider community. You will support meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role. You will collaborate with staff to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that enhances children’s wellbeing, confidence, and lifelong love of learning. A great opportunity to mentor others, influence centre-wide success, and step into Centre Manager duties when required. This position is a full-time role - Monday to Friday between 6:30 am - 6 pm. Responsibilities Provide operational and leadership support to the Centre Manager and broader team. Contribute to daily compliance, audits, and centre checklists to maintain safety and quality. Assist in the mentoring and development of educators through coaching, supervision and ongoing feedback. Build strong relationships with families, managing communication and feedback promptly and professionally. Monitor learning environments, classroom displays and resources to ensure alignment with Young Academics’ standards. Build strong partnerships with the local community. Assist with managing budgets, occupancy, rostering, and administrative tasks efficiently to optimise the centre's performance. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in keeping accurate records & evaluating programs. Guide processes and systems within the centre, adhering to the ECA Code of Ethics, specifically experience with OWNA or willingness to learn. Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements. About you Advocate for Early Childhood and Young Academics Early Learning Centre Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and managing an Early Learning Centre Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Care or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation. Current First Aid & CPR Certificate Valid Employee Working with Children Check Child Protection Certificate (NSW Department of Education approved) Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training Child Safety Matters At Young Academics, we prioritise children's safety and wellbeing.
