56 Tavern, a modern elevated tavern concept in Aurora, Ohio, is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Chef to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position working directly with our Executive Chef to deliver high-quality dishes and creative menus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience
• Strong line-cook skills with the ability to thrive under pressure
• Passion for creative food and menu development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence

• Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Work the line efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Contribute ideas for menu items and daily/weekly specials
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Support kitchen staff training, prep work, and service execution
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
