Every hotel in the LXR portfolio offers a bespoke experience, combining authentic service with refined elegance and cultural richness. At LXR, we believe in creating unforgettable moments for our guests—and extraordinary opportunities for our team members.
Nestled along the serene mangrove waterfront, LXR Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi will soon open its doors as part of Hilton’s luxury independent collection. This pre-opening journey offers a rare opportunity to join an iconic property from the ground up, helping to shape its service culture, technical readiness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in managing all engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, fire & life safety, sustainability, and energy conservation.
  • Supporting the Chief Engineer in the planning and execution of pre-opening tasks, handover from contractors, and operational readiness.
  • Supervising and developing a skilled team of engineers and technicians, ensuring training and motivation in line with Hilton and LXR luxury standards.
  • Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted guest experiences.
  • Monitoring energy and sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with Hilton’s LightStay and local regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting budget planning, cost control, and contractor management for technical services

An Assistant Chief Engineer serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality. Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop multicultural teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through technical excellence
