ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER – RADISSON LIVERPOOL

Responsibilities
  • To support the senior manager in the delivery of department objectives
  • To deputise for the department manager in their absence
  • To be aware of budgeted and actual departmental financial targets for the hotel
  • Supports the activities of the hotel and department business plan,
  • To manage the day to day distribution of work to the Maintenance team
  • To ensure that all day to day work reported to the department is recorded and the records are kept up to date
  • To manage the routine Maintenance systems for plant, equipment and rooms and ensure the records are kept up to date
  • Implements activities arising from the audits of services and quality audit undertaken by line manager
  • To be responsible for the control and supervision of contracted staff when on the hotel premises
  • To assist with the managing of the departments budgets, ensuring that expenditure remains within defined parameters
  • To be responsible for ordering spares and maintain control of the engineering stores and stock levels
  • To assist in organising training and keeping up to date training records for all members in the department
  • To be responsible for the day to day management of all maintenance employees reporting to you. Schedules employees in accordance with departmental objectives
  • Assigns work orders by priority, and delegates duties and supervises work
  • Understands and operates by the departmental standard operating procedures in place
  • Upholds all parts of the company brand standards reflecting the company culture and values
  • A team player with a positive can do attitude
  • Communicates with internal and external guests in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
  • Maximises customer satisfaction by promoting hotel services and facilities to guests
  • Works pro-actively to minimise complaints from guests
