TITLE: Assistant Chief Pilot   REPORTS TO: Chief Pilot    Overview:  The Assistant Chief Pilot for Global Crossing Airlines will assist in solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions and develop new concepts, methods, and techniques. This position will work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   * Ensuring a safe and efficient operation conducted in compliance with all laws, rules, and applicable regulations.  * Ensuring flight operations are conducted IAW applicable CFRs and Company rules and regulations. * Ensuring prompt reporting, filing, and follow-up action on accidents and other required reports to the appropriate FAA agencies.   * Managing and Hiring of the Pilots.  * Understand and actively participate in the Global X Airlines Safety Management  * System, remaining vigilant for hazards/associated safety risks and for reporting safety issues to supervisors.  * Ensuring subordinates are trained and qualified in their duties.      SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:  * FAA-issued Airline Transport pilot license which has never been suspended or revoked, plus meets the minimum experience flying.  * The ACP must understand and be able to write procedures in compliance with the regulations (CFRs) and must be able to research FSIMS 8900, Advisory Circulars (AC), and any other FAA and DOT documents.  * The ACP must be a fully qualified Captain or F/O with no failure history with Global and all training completed satisfactorily.  * Ability to perform basic math calculations * Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays * Strong interpersonal skills * Ability to work as part of a team * Ability to build relationships         Work Schedule: ACP will work an office schedule primary Monday to Friday. The ACP will work a minimum of days in the office during the week but not exceed 5 days a week, with Saturday and Sunday off in Global Headquarters in Miami. Serve as Duty officer for a seven-day period once a month. Must fly or complete line or training audits equivalent to 16 hours and/or a minimum 3 segments a month with a minimum of 3 landings to maintain currency and Qualification.     OTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
