HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO WORK ON A FARM AND FERMENT APPLES INTO CIDER? WELL WE HAVE THE JOB FOR YOU!

We are a family farm and orchard based Cidery.
We are looking for help working in the orchard and Cidery.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a good attitude who is interested in sustainable farming, apple orchards, cider production, and serving in our on farm tasting room. Farming experience is preferred but not required. Serving experience is an asset. Good communication skills, cooperative, collaborative, and respectful in nature is an asset. Ideally we are looking for someone who is organized, task oriented, detail oriented and efficient.
Although we realize we aren’t paying top dollar be do offer a flexible work environment where workers will be able to work a variety of different and interesting tasks. The work will run the gamut from working and learning about sustainable orchard production, building and renovating farm buildings, operating the tractor and other farm equipment, learning about Cider production and working in the Cidery. We will also have our tasting room open and are looking for the someone who can work serving cider during the busy times. A BC “Serving it Right” and “Foodsafe” certificates are assets, however these could be attained after starting employment.
Our funding requires that the worker is between the ages of 19-30(inclusive).
Candidates should be generally physically able, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. They should be able to work independently or with one or two other people and happy to work outside in all weather conditions. The candidate will be working in the tasting room so we are looking for someone who is personable and who enjoys interacting with customers coming to the farm. The successful candidate should be able to work safely and speak up when any safety issues are identified.

Contract length: 10 months
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
