Description JOB TITLE: Assistant Club Director DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Club Director – Rubonia FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Function: Supports the Club Director in the daily operations of the Rubonia Club site with a primary focus on program implementation, staff supervision during program hours, member safety, and operational continuity. The Assistant Club Director helps ensure that programs and services are delivered effectively when the Club Director is not on site. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: (not all-inclusive) This position is Part Time and Temporary Program Operations Support implementation of Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and promote positive youth development outcomes. Monitor program areas to ensure youth are actively engaged and staff follow program schedules. Assist with program planning and preparation of materials, supplies, and activity spaces. Support special events, enrichment activities, and field trips. Site Leadership and Coverage Provide on-site leadership during designated program hours when the Club Director is not present. Ensure program schedules are followed and staff maintain appropriate supervision of youth. Address operational issues, behavior concerns, and parent inquiries during program hours. Communicate significant incidents or concerns to the Club Director. Staff Supervision and Support Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance to Youth Development Professionals and program staff. Support onboarding and training of new staff. Reinforce organizational expectations related to safety, supervision, and program delivery. Assist with maintaining positive staff morale and communication. Safety and Member Management Maintain a safe and healthy environment for youth and staff. Ensure supervision ratios and safety procedures are followed. Address member behavior concerns using the Club’s discipline and guidance plan. Respond to incidents and complete required documentation when necessary. Administrative Support Assist with membership registration and attendance tracking. Maintain accurate daily records related to participation and activities. Support preparation of reports or documentation requested by the Club Director. Facilities and Operations Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Club facility. Support opening and closing procedures as assigned. Assist with managing supplies and equipment. Other Responsibilities Assist with special events, organizational initiatives, and fundraising activities when needed. May be required to drive Club vehicles periodically. Assume other duties as assigned by the Club Director. Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS (not all inclusive) This position is Part Time and Temporary Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience working with youth in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth-serving organization preferred. Experience supervising youth and supporting program activities. Valid State Driver’s License. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth, parents, and staff. Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to support multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Required to stand, walk, and sit. Able to use hands and fingers on a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Perform safety-sensitive duties requiring a constant state of alertness. The noise level in the work environment is high due to work conducted in a Club setting for children, both indoors and outdoors.
