Create your best future and join Westpac as an Assistant Company Secretary   * Full time opportunity   * Based in Sydney, NSW, AU  * Hybrid working model – two days in office     What’s the role?  You’ll play a key role in supporting company secretarial services across Westpac Group subsidiaries, contributing to strong governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality board operations  Key responsibilities   * Support subsidiary governance activities, including board and committee processes   * Coordinate board meetings, prepare agendas, papers, minutes and resolutions   * Manage regulatory lodgements and statutory filings (ASIC)   * Maintain accurate company records and registers through Diligent Entities   * Assist with ASX and international stock exchange announcements   * Support statutory reporting, annual reviews and governance processes   * Contribute to improving Secretariat processes, controls and systems   * Engage with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Finance and the broader business    What do I need?  * Experience in company secretariat or governance roles, ideally within financial services   * Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory obligations (ASIC)   * Knowledge of board and committee processes, including preparation of papers and minutes   * High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines   * Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information   * Strong written and communication skills   * Experience with Diligent Entities/Boards or similar systems is advantageous      Our Promise to You   We’re obsessed with becoming our customers' #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal.
