ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER

£40,800 to £48,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Wakefield, WF4 5RA (Office Based)
We’re looking for an Assistant Commercial Accounts Manager to join the team at our Wakefield office. In this role, you’ll be working alongside our Commercial Accounts Manager to keep our commercial accounts accurate and up to date, handle supplier claims and queries and help to manage our main ambient transport operation.
We’ll look to you to support with financial analysis and processing, and you’ll create clear financial reports and recommendations to share with senior colleagues. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate with the wider team to keep our main ambient backhaul transport operation running smoothly
  • Identify and resolve problems and risks across our operation
  • Support the rollout of new processes, while making sure our services aren’t disrupted
  • Help carry out financial analysis, reporting, and processing, sharing ideas with senior colleagues for how we can increase profitability
  • Assist our Commercial Accounts Manager with producing our annual budget
  • Strengthen our relationships with third-party partners and support with relevant projects and contract discussions

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • Experience in an Assistant Accounts Manager (or similar) role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
