ASSISTANT COMPTROLLER FULL TIME INDEFINITE HIRE FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION   SALARY LEVEL: PAY BAND 12 $106,496.00 - $157,643.20 ANNUALLY DEADLINE TO APPLY: FEBRUARY 19, 2026, BY 4:00PM   SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Comptroller, the Assistant Comptroller supports the comptroller by examining and analyzing accounting records. The Assistant Comptroller is responsible for ensuring accuracy in data and reporting, and for maintaining compliance with Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), the Akwesasne Financial Administration Law, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA)’s financial policies, and MCA’s internal controls. The Assistant Comptroller is also a key contributor to MCA’s budgeting initiatives, working within the MCA guidelines, policies, and mission, and will be accountable for specific assigned projects. In addition, the position prepares, develops and maintains monthly key performance indicators for management reporting and escalation; contributes to the development of financial policies and processes; drives continuous improvement and efficiency, assists with interim and year end audits by liaising with external auditors; and supports ad hoc project work as required by the organization.     QUALIFICATIONS:   * Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. * Five years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing. * Experience in a supervisory role is considered an asset. * Work experience in government or a First Nation organization is considered an asset. OR * Four-year post-secondary (Bachelor’s) degree in Finance or Accounting and working toward a CPA designation. * Five years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing. * Experience in a supervisory role is considered an asset. * Work experience in government or a First Nation organization is considered an asset.   All interested applicants MUST submit all of the following documents to be considered: 1.
