Description

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:

1.Ability to work in a team environment with the District Network Administrator, technical support staff, instructional technology specialists, helpdesk personnel, department heads and Director of ICTS
2.Assist with the day-to-day operation of the LPSD computer network including the high school computer network, and when necessary directly assist the district network manager with projects relating to the network throughout the district.
3.Assist keeping the entire computer network operating at maximum capacity and at optimal performance.
4.Support and administer Windows 2000/2003/2012, Microsoft Exchange 2003 and up, IIS SMS as well as a collection of educational based software.
5.Maintain server disaster recovery plan and backups.
6.Maintain network security.
7.Document network design.
8.Maintain wireless infrastructure.
9.Oversee help desk system to make sure clients are being helped in a timely fashion.
10.Work with district wide technicians to solve network and computer issues.
11.Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of ICTS.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent experience or certifications
2.At least two (2) years experience in a network environment or technology environment
3.Experience with TCP/IP DNS / Subnetting / Exchange 2003 and up / Active Directory / Barracuda Filtering and Backup hardware & software / Google Apps for Education / SSO / VM Ware / VOIP
4.Experience with networking equipment (Switches / Routers / Wireless) Preferably HP & Aerohive
5.Strong analytical and problem solving skills
6.Technical and operational experience
7.Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills
8.Experience working in client server environment
9.Experience with Mac OS / iOS / Airplay / BonJour / VBrick
10.Experience with a network monitoring system such as What’s Up Gold.
REPORTS TO: Director of ICTS
EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible after posting period closes
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month position, non-affiliated employee
SALARY: $75,000 - $90,000 annuall
