Description
Faculty of Medicine Assistant Computer Officer The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing support and maintenance for the Faculty’s administrative systems; (b) developing various applications in the Faculty Medical Curriculum System; (c) collecting user requirements, developing and participating in user acceptance tests (UAT), and providing training; and (d) undertaking other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related disciplines from a recognized university or technical institute; (ii) solid experience in and familiarity with Microsoft .NET C#, PHP, React Native, Microsoft Power Platform, MSSQL and MySQL servers; (iii) experience in software development project management in cloud services, including knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in environments such as AWS or other major cloud platforms; (iv) hands-on experience or strong familiarity with programming using AI tools and platforms (e.g., Cursor, Gemini, Kiro); and (v) a self-motivated and mature personality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Having post-qualification work experience and a record of success in designing and developing web-based and AI-enhanced software applications will be an advantage. Having a good command of written and spoken English is preferred. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
