Job Title: Assistant Construction Superintendent
Location: On the Road / Project Sites
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Senior Management & Project Manager
Position Summary
We are looking for a driven, hands-on Assistant Superintendent to join our field leadership team. This role provides direct support to the Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring quality standards. The ideal candidate brings a mix of practical construction knowledge, organizational skills, and a strong desire to advance within a leadership track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day site management, including scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards, ensuring OSHA and company policies are followed.
  • Contribute to quality control by inspecting work and verifying compliance with drawings, specs, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, logs, and photo records.
  • Take part in site walkthroughs, coordination meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Foster clear communication with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and the project management team.
  • Track materials and report inventory needs, shortages, or delays.
  • Step into a leadership role when the Superintendent is unavailable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of on-site construction experience (field engineer, foreman, laborer, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, drawings, and site operations.
  • Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy; experience with ProjectSight, Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Previous involvement in commercial ground-up or renovation projects strongly desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, climb, and stand for extended periods on uneven terrain.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year
