ABOUT THIS COMPANY:

Well-established construction company specializing in civil engineering, roadworks, and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Contract Manager to support contract administration, cost control, and compliance, working closely with the project and commercial teams.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS :

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiar with standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA) will be added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, contract law, and tender processes.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, organized, and able to work under tight timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of contracts, subcontracts, and tender documents.
  • Review contract terms, conditions, and specifications to ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Support in drafting and evaluating variation orders, extension of time claims, and other contractual correspondences.
  • Assist in preparing progress claims, interim payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project expenditure, budgets, and cash flow to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors to manage contractual and commercial issues.
  • Liaise and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients on contractual matters.
  • Assist in dispute resolution, negotiations, and settlement of contractual claims.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to the Contract Manager and senior management.
  • Ensure timely submission of contractual documents, certificates, and other compliance requirements.
