Job Description: The Assistant Contract Manager supports the Senior Contracts Manager in the effective administration, negotiation, and management of the CP04 contract (E&M Systems, Track Works, and Depot Equipment) and its associated subcontracts. The role involves hands-on management of commercial correspondences, claim reviews, subcontractor coordination, and compliance with FIDIC-based procedures. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Contracts Manager in all post-contract administration matters for the main contract and major subcontracts. Prepare, review, and finalize contractual letters, notices, claims, variations, and other project correspondences. Monitor and ensure compliance with contract conditions, specifications, and procedures. Analyze subcontractor claims and variations, verify entitlement, and prepare recommendations. Participate in monthly progress and commercial meetings with the Engineer, Employer, and subcontractors. Review interim payment applications (IPAs) and payment certificates (IPCs) for accuracy and contractual compliance. Assist in maintaining the contractual correspondence register, claim tracking, and document filing system. Support dispute resolution processes, including documentation for Dispute Board or arbitration. Provide guidance to junior team members on contract interpretation and correspondence drafting.
