CAREER OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting financial reporting, and managing day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a successful dealership operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must have a minimum college education with a focus in accounting.
  • Candidate must have a minimum 1 year of experience working in an accounting or financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of dealership accounting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing all aspects of the dealership’s financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Responsible for assisting in posting deals for the sales department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reviewing OEM rebates and submitting loyalties.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting documents.
  • Support the Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard dealership assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
