EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 2+ years or accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

Support the Controller in management of financial operations and maintenance of internal controls ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency. Prepare financial reports and analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily accounting operations which may include: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist Controller with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies for compliance.
  • Assist Controller with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Attend Accounting department meetings and assist with other accounting functions as needed.
  • Ability to achieve goals set forth by management.
