This role is pivotal in shaping the financial architecture and operational efficiency of our growing organization. As the Assistant Controller, you will partner closely with the Controller and CFO, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting while guiding the development of the accounting team. This fast-paced environment offers a unique opportunity to influence key financial decisions and mentor emerging talent within the organization. \n Accountabilities Develop and provide leadership for the Accounting team Oversee monthly financial closing procedures; ensuring timeliness and accuracy Oversee the development and implementation of accounting processes and procedures Review monthly account analysis prepared by Accounting team Participate in development and tracking of capital and operational budgets Assess processes and procedures and implement automation as necessary Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP standards and/or regulatory rules Assist with the development and refinement of financial and operational reports Provide analysis and financial information to senior leaders Interact and communicate effectively with Accounting team and other internal departments Complete special assignments as required by the Controller and CFO Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Experience in leading a team Minimum 5 years’ work experience in accounting roles CPA preferred Experience with preparation of GAAP financial reports MS office skills, including Word and Excel Experience with SAP B1 a plus Experience in distribution and/or publishing industries a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly detailed-oriented and well organized Benefits Fully remote position with flexibility Work Schedule core hours 8am – 5pm EST, Monday – Friday; additional hours as needed Work alongside a collaborative and supportive Finance team Medical/Dental/Vision/Flexible Spending Basic $10k Life insurance Policy – company paid Supplemental Life Insurance & Short/Long Term Disability Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Volunteer Day Program Paid Holidays 401(k) with Company match \n Why Apply Through Jobgether?
