Assistant Controller
Location: Mebane, NC

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team!

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2-3 years practicing accounting and finance support required
  • Minimum 2-3 years in cost accounting required
  • Minimum 2-3 years in manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in financial closing cycles
  • Experience developing financial models and capital expenditure models

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA preferred

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Global travel may be required

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Controller to create and implement annual standard cost update and annual budget and update of quarterly forecast.
  • Collaborate with Corporate reporting global group on Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting timing and data requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reports to Managers and provide strategic guidance on department spending and utilization of assets.
  • Oversee data entry and interpret accounting data to create and reconcile monthly, yearly or quarterly financial results and budgets.
  • Collaborate with Business Controller and Senior Management on weekly and monthly standard cost variance analysis
  • Follow-up on cost savings initiatives, interpret and report weekly and monthly standard cost variances to Management.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to maintain accuracy of product standard cost on BOM and routings and approve process changes to standard cost.
  • Collaborate with Make to Order group on accuracy of estimated cost and advise Management to increase profitability.
  • Consult with Business Controller and Senior management to identify accounting issues and implement procedures to ensure compliance to GAAP reporting.
  • Support profitability analysis preparation and validation of business cases and investment proposals and active contributor in future investment strategies.
