Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Assistant Controller to oversee the financial operations for our Technicon business unit. This role is a critical addition to our finance team, offering the opportunity to lead a system implementation and play a key role in a future legal entity merger. The ideal candidate will manage full-cycle accounting, supervise support staff, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting during a period of significant organizational growth. Key Responsibilites Month-End Close Management: Lead all monthly accounting system transactions, including accruals, account reconciliations, and the closing process for the Technicon business unit and legal entity. Accruals & Journals: Prepare monthly revenue and cost accruals, payroll and subcontractor cost accruals, and intercompany journal entries. Financial Reporting: Generate gross margin reports and prepare local Financial Statements and Management Reporting for Technicon US. Analytical Oversight: Perform analytical reviews of the P&L for month-end close and manage balance sheet accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations. Intercompany Coordination: Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables with related entities. System Implementation: Act as a key contributor during our transition from Great Plains to Sage Intacct. Leadership: Directly supervise the AR/AP Accountant and ensure departmental compliance with all accounting policies and procedures. Strategic Support: Provide insights for financial efficiencies and serve as a key lead in the eventual merger of the Technicon legal entity into the Segula USA legal entity. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Technical Skills: Experience with Great Plains or Sage Intacct is a significant plus. Certifications: CPA certification is preferred but not required. Soft Skills: Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills to interact across various business units. Why Join Us?
