Internal candidates are also encouraged to apply. Primary Objective: The Assistant Controller is a high-impact leader passionate about Spectrio’s products and mission. This role is the engine of the finance department, ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting integrity, operational controls, and GAAP compliance.This role requires a proactive leader who can "dive deep" into existing workflows to ensure accuracy and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include: Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments Ensure the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of treasury, general ledger accounting including but not limited to account reconciliations and bank reconciliations Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Ensure financial statements adhere to GAAP and the Company has properly adopted new accounting standards Conduct financial statement reviews to ensure all revenue and expense has been properly accounted for by department by line item to allow for accurate interpretation of the financial statements Conduct regular margin analysis to ensure Spectrio remains profitable across all product lines Pro-forma, Budgeting, Margin Analysis, Revenue and Expense recognition Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities, ensuring chart of account alignment and internal control onboarding Act as a secondary point of contact for outside audit firms, preparing necessary schedules and supporting the successful completion of annual audits. Assist in overseeing inventory controls and lead the coordination of physical inventory counts to ensure book-to-physical accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or similar field Four to Five years work experience in Public Accounting, or 5-10 years in Private Industry Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to work effectively both individually and as a team. Proven ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
