POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

Position Overview:
Our client, an established and financially strong organization is currently looking to add a talented Assistant Controller to its Finance department. This role offers a compelling opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team and play a vital role in the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the monthly financial close process by preparing and reviewing relevant entries and reports.
  • Handle journal entries and account reconciliations with accuracy and consistency.
  • Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with auditors to ensure a smooth process.
  • Help improve and streamline accounts payable, receivable, and vendor management workflows.
  • Assist in assembling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for both internal leadership and external partners.
  • Collaborate across departments to provide analytical support and actionable financial insights to leadership teams.
  • Contribute to the development of metrics for tracking accounts receivable and payable.
  • Ensure accounting procedures remain compliant with applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Reinforce internal controls and support company policies in line with accounting best practices.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and provide financial insights as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, and the broader Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
