We are currently seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller to join our high-growth, fast-paced veterinary company. The chosen candidate will be a team player and will help lead all elements of the accounting function, to include General Ledger accounting.

• Assist in planning, directing and coordinating accounting functions
• Providing hands-on support to ensure all back-office functions work smoothly
• Managing month-end closing activities and preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
• Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Strong leadership skills (direct reports of 5-6 individuals)
• Maintaining and further developing internal controls
• Providing opportunities and overseeing the professional and personal development of direct reports, with emphasis on providing opportunities for professional advancement
• Coordinating with external firms for annual audit as well as tax filings
• Providing oversight of post-acquisition transitions to the WVP platform
• Coordinating with Operations and Business Development teams to provide support for various company functions
