Little Sisters of the Poor are a religious order and registered charity, founded over 150 years ago, here in Newcastle, through their dedication and commitment they provide a high standard of care to elderly residents.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking Assistant Cook to join our friendly team within our Care Home working a shift pattern which will be discussed at interview.
Assisting the Head Cook you will be responsible for the following tasks:
*Prepare and cook and serve the food
*Preparing of hot trolley’s
*Monitoring of stock
*Monitoring temperatures
*Cleaning of kitchen equipment, washing of pots, pans and utensil etc
*Other such duties as may be required in order to fulfil the role

The successful candidate must provide, two references and a enhanced DBS check (which the candidate has to pay for themselves). The post is also subject to a medical clearance from our occupational health provider.
