JOB SUMMARY:
Produces food items to be used by district/food service kitchens. Aides in forecasting quantities of food needed for the school kitchen and establishes menu changes if circumstances require a change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in food service.

Sets up food on serving lines and/or steam tables and serves meals or meal components.
Prepares and serves beverages.
Stores or disposes of excess food properly.
Assists in cashiering meals each day.
Washes, sanitizes, and stores dishes, tableware, and kitchen utensils; scrubs counters, tables, chairs, mops floors, and disposes of wastes properly.
Operates and cleans all kitchen equipment such as ranges, ovens, steamers, tilting skillets, mixers, choppers, and dishwashing machines and may include other equipment not specifically listed.
Stores food and supplies in accordance with instructions and assists in taking inventory.
Maintains a professional work environment.
Uses only the standardized recipes of the Food Service Department in the production of foods.
Assists in determining quantities of food to produce, the distribution of the finished product and is responsible for the quality of the food for the school.
Maintains accurate and timely orders/production records as required by the State of Wisconsin and USDA.
Checks in food service orders and verifies quantity and quality.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director and/or Manager or Head Cook.
