Burns Truck & Trailer Services is seeking a dependable, organized and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team. This position is an important support role between our Service Department and Parts Department. The Assistant Coordinator will learn the daily operations of the parts room, including parts ordering, receiving, organizing and making sure parts are applied to the correct repair orders. This position will also support the service side of the business by learning customer intake, job coordination and shop workflow. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with parts ordering, receiving and organization * Help ensure parts are assigned and applied to the correct jobs and repair orders * Communicate with service staff, parts staff, technicians and management regarding job needs * Assist with customer intake and gathering repair information * Help assign, track and coordinate jobs through the service process * Support daily shop workflow and communication between departments * Maintain accurate notes, records and documentation * Help keep the parts and service areas organized and efficient * Follow company procedures and assist with additional tasks as needed QUALIFICATIONS * Reliable, punctual and dependable * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Good communication and customer service skills * Ability to multitask in a busy shop environment * Willingness to learn parts, service coordination and shop operations * Professional attitude when working with customers, vendors and team members * Ability to work well as part of a team * Basic computer skills preferred Previous experience in parts, service writing, dispatching, coordinating, automotive repair or truck repair is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person!
